News and Events

Inside-Out has begun quickly to realize its goal of changing the discourse in and about the American correctional system. More than half of Inside-Out classes have received print, radio, or television media attention in their local areas, with more than 100 news pieces appearing around the country in the past four years featuring the Inside-Out model. A newsletter is currently in the planning stages to update students, instructors, the Think Tank, funders, and correctional and university administrators about what is happening in Inside-Out classes around the country. In addition, Inside-Out is making an increased presence at various conferences and symposia as instructors and students continue to contribute to academic and action-oriented discourse about education in American correctional systems.
