Temple Initiatives
Temple University’s commitment to Community-Based Learning opportunities is part of what has made Inside-Out possible, both locally and in terms of our National Replication. Over the past decade of Inside-Out’s existence, Temple has provided the freedom, the structure, and the support needed for Inside-Out to touch as many lives as possible.
Several university faculty, staff, and graduate students have been trained in the Inside-Out pedagogy via the National Instructor Training Institute, resulting in new courses using the model, including Drugs in Urban Society, offered through the Geography and Urban Studies Department, and Reform Strategies in the Criminal Justice System, through the Criminal Justice Department.
