As you probably know, Inside-Out has recently become a non-profit organization and we have been working over the past month or so to put things in place. We have not been able to accept donations or gifts until now because, though we are a registered non-profit in Pennsylvania, we do not yet have our own 501(c)(3) designation, which is necessary to accept donations (for tax purposes).
However, we will temporarily be operating financially under the umbrella of a fiscal sponsor — that has its 501(c)(3), which allows us to accept donations and gifts. The fiscal sponsor is named TriCounty Community Network (TCN) and they will be our pass-through for the next few months, until we receive our own tax-exempt designation. All donations will be processed through TCN and all of what is sent to Inside-Out will go to Inside-Out.
It is important to know that Inside-Out does not receive funding from any university or government entity. We rely on foundation grants, training revenue and, increasingly, individual donors. Please consider making a one-time or, ideally, recurring donation to the program.
Donations can be made online (preferred) or by check.
ONLINE DONATIONS can be made by clicking the image link in the green box. The link goes to a donor platform called “Givebutter,” through which either one-time or recurring donations can be made. Through this platform, there are several ways to pay, including credit card and Venmo. Additionally, the program leaves it up to the person donating whether or not the individual wants processing fees added. Finally, they make it very easy to share the information on the donor “campaign” (as they call it) with others on social media.
